See these faces? These are the faces of two quitters. I quit my job. Ellie quit her daycare. We’re quitters. We love it.
So what are we doing? We’re doing “school.” As Ellie says, “We’re the school team and Daddy is the work team.” Although Ellie has informed me that when her preschool starts up in September, I need to get a job to “make the monies.” Apparently I’m supposed to find a job that pays in chocolate coins. Anyone know of any jobs that are less than 10 hours a week and pay only in chocolate coins? Be sure to let me know.
Week 1
Our theme this week for “school” was the letter W. We studied worms, watermelon, and worry.
Day 1
At the beginning of the week Ellie had to guess the letter of the week. Her clue was a beanie baby worm.
Once she guessed the letter W, we were off! We started with some letter W Sesame Street videos. We learned the sign language finger spelling for W. Then we did some letter W worksheets that were worm themed.
I found this worm letter W tracing worksheet at http://fastseoguru.com/tracing-letters-worksheet/printable-letter-w-tracing-worksheets-for-preschool.
I found a worm letter W maze at https://www.education.com/worksheet/article/w-maze/.
Then we had to wiggle like worms. Gross motor activity anyone?
A worm craft project was next. I cut out the shapes for her in advance, but she colored, assembled and glued all on her own. I found this craft at https://blog.allaboutlearningpress.com/letter-w-craft-worm/.
Check back tomorrow to find out what we did for day 2!
